Toys that utter phrases in foreign languages meet a growing interest in teaching children a second tongue.
Odra Heitmann hauled the heavy package labeled "Dora's Talking Kitchen" off a Toys R Us shelf and set it on the floor for a better look. Splashed on the box was a promo: "Says Phrases in English and Spanish!" The purple blurb sealed the deal for Heitmann, who scooped up the gift for her 1-year-old niece Ashley. "I made a big mistake by not teaching my kids Spanish," said Heitmann, 37, on a recent Saturday afternoon in the Burbank store. "I'm not going to make the same mistake with my niece."

06/13/04 - LA’s BEST Ninth Annual Family Brunch
The Frijolitos' team attends the LA’s BEST family brunch, held in Culver City. LA’s BEST (Better Educated Students for Tomorrow) is a nationally recognized after-school educational enrichment program serving more than 21,000 children in Los Angeles. As a sponsor, Frijolitos, Inc. donated hundreds of Frijolitos' characters to LA’s BEST kids.

05/16/03 - Latin Business Association- Sol Business Awards
An LBA member since its founding in 2002, Frijolitos, Inc is a sponsor of this annual awards dinner. More than 500 Frijolitos toys, from its inaugural line, were donated to the gala event. Many of the attendees walked away with smiles on their faces trotting their new Frijolitos’ toys
